In the hurricanes and the city games, so ravenous and free,
Outrunning the leashes they put on you and me,
Let’s get lost,

Screaming, dreaming, drunk with perfect fire,
Laughter and martinis, drowning in desire
Let’s get lost,

Tasting the hot adventure that drips from your lips,
Suffering the electrifying wander of those fingertips,
Let’s get lost,

Away from here, from a world that never quite understood,
Our wild hearts needed more than others ever would,
Let’s get lost,
Because that’s what I am -
Lost in the glimpses of a goddess that will never be,
A future filled with tomorrows I will never see,
Feasts for the beasts that we so yearn to be.
Lost in complete inversion and complete immersion,
I finally found my complete version…
Too late though of course, as now the time has come,
Where once again, I must run, run, run.
